Gackt's new role...

according to "The Daily Yomiuri", when it comes to "Mr. Brain"

Singer-songwriter Gackt and kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo both will make their first commercial network TV drama appearances in the series.


In Episode 1, Ichikawa plays a detective dealing with underworld cases and rumored to be on the take. In Episode 2, Gackt appears as a death row inmate.


Mr. Brain's synopsis:

Ryusuke Tsukumo (Kimura) was once a club host but after suffering a brain injury, he recovered and pursued a career in psychology. He's now an unconventional police psychologist who thinks far outside the box when it comes to crime and his own fashion sense. Haruka Ayase is his assistant at the National Research Institute of Police Science, where he works in a crime lab with experts on DNA, profiling, surveillance cameras, computers, poisons and other highly technical specialties. His costars also include a mouse in a maze and Teruyuki Kagawa and Hiro Mizushima as the detectives who continually seek his help.

For those who've ever seen the USA series "Monk" starring Tony Shalhoub... it sounds almost along those lines. ^_^
